Vegan/Non-Dairy Ranch Dressing

There are only a few things that I REALLY missed when I went vegan and ranch was one of them. I don't know if it's a family thing or if it's just because I have spent so much of my life in Utah, but I love ranch dressing. I have tried several vegan ranch recipe's over the past few years and this one is definitely my top pick:

Vegan/Non-Dairy Ranch Dressing
1 Cup Vegenaise (vegan mayonnaise)
1 Cup Silken Tofu
1 tsp. Garlic Powder
1 tsp. Onion Powder
1/2 tsp. Black Pepper
2 Tbs. Parsley (chopped fresh or dried flakes)
1/4 Cup Soy or Almond Milk
*Combine ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Store in the refrigerator.
**If you prefer a smoother texture, you can substitue 1 Cup of Tofutti sour cream in place of the silken tofu

How is this price-wise? Is it cheaper to make??

It cost about $3.60 to make 20 ounces. It's only a few cents more than regular ranch dressing (I just checked at Target and a 20 ounce bottle of Hidden Valley Ranch was $3.29) and it is less expensive than restaurant quality or storebought vegan ranch dressings.

This is great! I wandered over here form A JD+3 and this is the first post I noticed. I am now on a dairy-free diet to see if it will help my 3 month old keep his food down. I was just wondering yesterday if it was possible to make a dairy-free ranch. Yum! Thanks so much!!

Welcome to the blog, Glennae! And good luck with the dairy-free diet. Let me know if there's anything specific you are looking for or if you want tips on substitutions and stuff :D
